Poison Control Centers guidance provided
Ohio’s Poison Control Centers have provided new peer-reviewed chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin treatment guidance documents, which address both potential side effects of therapeutic dosing and toxicities from overdoses or exploratory exposures by children.
This guidance is not for public distribution. The Ohio Poison Control Centers will post information sheets for the general public on their web pages and social media platforms soon for your patients.
These fact sheets are also available on OPA’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources page, in the Ohio Resources section.
We remind you that the nurses, pharmacists, and physicians of Ohio’s Poison Control Centers are readily available to assist clinicians as well as patients dealing with potential toxicities from these medicines, or any other drugs or poisons.
