Job Summary We are currently seeking a Pharmacist to work in our community pharmacy. The Pharmacist should expect to interact daily with patients, prescribers, insurance providers, and fellow team members to work together to ensure the best customer service. The Pharmacist will be responsible for processing prescriptions, billing insurances, checking medications, and a variety of other related tasks while ensuring smooth workflow and outstanding customer service throughout the day. The Pharmacist must satisfy all Ohio registration, licensing, and certification requirements. The Pharmacist will comply with all state, and federal regulations. Routine Job Functions · Process new and refillable prescriptions continuously throughout the day as they become available. · Process insurance claims, rejections, and prior authorizations. · Fill all C2 prescriptions. · Assist with filling as needed. · Label and sort hard copy prescriptions. · Check all work and product filled and created by technicians. · Create the daily drug order and process it to the appropriate vendors. · Communicate prior authorizations, refills, and medication change requests to prescribers via phone or approved electronic communication platform. · Consult patients on medications, dose changes, interactions, etc. when appropriate. · Consult patients on specialty medications treatments for HIV and Hep-C care. Job Skills · Customer Service: Each day, you will be talking to customers and healthcare professionals, answering questions and relaying information to physicians, patients, and fellow team members. We absolutely pride ourselves on our level of care, so you will need to be a good listener and always maintain a pleasant and cheerful manner. · Flexibility: You will continually need to change your area of focus throughout the day depending on where your attention is needed at the moment. With many things happening all at once, the flexibility to change tasks expeditiously is essential. · Effective Communication Skills: To ensure the best customer service effective communication with physicians, patients, and fellow team members is very important. Clear, concise, and effective communication must be used daily. Required Qualifications · Active Pharmacist License in good standing in the state of Ohio. Preferred Qualifications · Previous experience as a Pharmacist in a retail setting.
