2015 OSHA Training for Immunizing Pharmacists & Others - Register Now!

If you or your staff administer immunizations or are exposed to blood in the workplace and have not completed an OSHA training within the last 12 months, now is your opportunity. OPA continues to offer a live webinar format to comply with the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standard. To accommodate various work schedules this webinar will be offered again on October 15 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.; and November 13 at 10 a.m and 3 p.m.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Bloodborne Pathogens standard was revised by the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act of 2000 to include safer medical devices and an exposure control plan. Immunizing pharmacists and others exposed to blood must meet the requirements of this standard, including ANNUAL training, or they will risk facing huge fines. The speaker will discuss potential blood borne hazards, safer practices designed to reduce/avoid needlestick and other sharps injuries, and effective post-exposure procedures. This program will provide the opportunity for interactive questions.

Registration is now open at RxCEonDemand.com. The cost is $45.

Note: Anyone can register to participate in the webinar, but CPE credit for this program is only available for pharmacists.
