Technicians have requested live programming on disease states and treatment options, as well as pharmacy law. This seminar includes all those topics and more. Come earn seven (7) contact hours of continuing education for pharmacy technicians, including one (1) hour of pharmacy law. This is also a great opportunity to network with fellow colleagues.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

• Asthma Diagnosis and Treatment
  Learn how asthma is diagnosed, general drug and non-drug treatments, and the importance of using inhalers properly.
• Teamwork ABCs
  Everyone has to work with people. Learning how to deal effectively with people can improve productivity and job satisfaction.
• Pharmacy Law: 2005 Update
  Learn what you can and cannot do while practicing under Ohio and federal laws, as well as the impact of drug diversion on your pharmacy practice. Our State Board speaker can answer your questions.
• Treatment of Depression
  Get the latest information on diagnosis and treatment of depression, including drug products and herbal medications.
• Chemical Dependency
  Recognizing behaviors associated with addiction and treatment strategies will be addressed. Learn how the Pharmacists Rehabilitation Organization, Inc. helps pharmacists and pharmacy interns in Ohio.
• HIPAA 101
  Learn how this health information privacy act has changed some of the systems in your practice. Background on the law and implementation strategies will be discussed.
• Migraine Management
  Learn to differentiate types of headaches, common triggers, and new drugs currently available for treatment and prevention of migraine headaches.
