Pharmacy Advocacy: Helping shape the future of the profession

Meshel Hall, Northeast Ohio Medical University, 4209 St. Rt. 44, Rootstown, Ohio 44242

Join the Ohio Pharmacists Association and Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) for a special program to discuss pharmacy advocacy and legislation at the state and federal levels.

Our program will begin with a one-hour CE provided by Sara Dugan, R.Ph., PharmD, NEOMED Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice & Associate Professor of Psychiatry. Dr. Dugan will discuss several pharmacy advocacy issues, including pending state legislation that would make major changes to collaborative agreement laws, as well as federal provider status legislation.

We will then be joined by our special guest, Congressman Jim Renacci (R-OH16), who will be giving some remarks about legislation at the federal level. Rep. Renacci is a member of the Congressional Pharmacy Caucus and also is a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, which is the committee hearing the pharmacist provider status bill!

This is a terrific opportunity to get some free CE and to help be a part of major positive changes for our profession. We hope you will consider attending.

Also, after the event, we event you to attend a separate, optional pharmacist fundraiser for Congressman Renacci. As far as federal fundraisers go, it is an affordable way to get some additional one-on-one time with Rep. Renacci. For details on the fundraiser, CLICK HERE!
